COIN JIG Size ADAPTERS (Steel) 50mm/40mm/25mm/1.25"
COIN JIG SIZE ADAPTERS (STEEL) 50mm/40mm/25mm/1.25" These adapters work with our existing STEEL coin jigs (only ours).
The GREAT THING is that if you already bought one of our 40mm coin jigs or our 50mm coin jigs - and you want to do a different coin size that you don't do very often - you DON’T have to buy a whole new JIG!
These adapters fit as precisely - with the same tolerances - as our existing jigs. These are either mild steel or stainless depending on availability and cost of materials which varies greatly from month to month. We make them out of the steel at the time which keeps our price to you consistent. So you may either get stainless or mild A36. Both are same tolerance.
- Make certain you read below about coin sizing variations and how that can affect tolerances. If you need one of our 40mm or 50mm Jigs - please see our other listings or favorite our shop.
- These Adapters are Sold Individually in the Following Sizes: * 50mm to 40mm * 40mm to 25mm * 40mm to 1.25”
- Note that in order to go down to the 25mm or 1.25" size coin blanks, you either need to have a 50mm jig AND a 50mm to 40mm adapter; OR just a 40mm jig. (See photo examples).
- IMPORTANT NOTE on Coin Blanks: Some of the cheaper 50mm coin blanks you find on Amazon, Ebay, or Etsy - are slightly less than 50mm - about 49.90. We even ran across a nice brushed one that measures 49.5!! That would be too sloppy. IT is CRITICAL that you know what the measurement of your coin blanks are - or there could be unacceptable play! Another example (regarding 40mm coin blanks) some are slightly less than 40mm - about 39.90mm. The same issues surround "25mm” and “1.25 inch” coin blanks. They will work with this jig, but if their sizing is small, expect more play than the higher quality machined blanks.
- We have no control over your stock choices. You must measure your coins to know the tolerances before buying.
- PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR before buying any of our jigs or adapters - and have some sample coins on hand to measure with a micrometer before you invest in our jigs.
- If you don't have one of our Steel Coin Jigs - please visit our storefront and see our multiple listings for steel coin jigs.
- Please ask before buying if you have questions.
