Lightburn Camera Mount for Ortur & X-Tool D1 (STL File)
What is it? A 3d printable STL file that you can print for attaching a Lightburn camera mount (made of aluminum v slot rails) to the back of your Ortur Laser Master (2 & pro) Laser.
It will also work with the XTool D1 & XTool D1 Pro - IF you DRILL holes through the rear frame. However, if your spoilboard extends about an inch and a half beyond the rear of the Pro frame, the mount has a hole on the bottom to secure it to the spoilboard for extra security.
ALSO - you can modify the STL file FOR YOUR OWN USE (NOT TO BE SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY). The only part file included here is the one circled in RED. HOWEVER - I have links to the other parts you will need below to assemble EXACTLY what I have made in the photographs. (I didn't want an all-plastic frame because I felt it wasn't solid enough).
- This accommodates the SOLID aluminum rails and hardware. How it works: The bottom of the mount is open. So, the v slot rail slips into the mount & rests on the spoilboard. It can be screwed down to make it solid. It is attached using up to size M5 screws & drop in T nuts to the back of the laser frame (see photos). I designed it and am using it with the v slot rails linked below. Tolerances vary depending on your printer. But I printed it using 0.20 layer, no supports, on a Prusa MK3S+. My result was very secure yet slides in easily.
- I also have a hole built in if you wanted to screw in an M5 bolt/screw to tighten up the vertical rail. **IF your laser's feet are sitting on top of holders that are attached to the spoilboard, you may need to add a spacer - or washer under this printable mount in order to screw it to your spoilboard.
- The distance of the bottom of this part to the center of the screw holes that go into the rear laser rail is 47mm.
- There is a link down below for the exact feet I used to mount my laser so you can print those too - which will put your laser exactly the right spot as I have designed here.
- ALSO - you have this file - so you can move the holes/add holes if you need to!! Just don't sell my design - even if you "re-make it".
- Once you pay, you will get fast access from Etsy to download the file. It will come as a ZIP file. Open that - and then the STL will be within for use.
- I designed this and it is protected by copyright rules and cannot be reproduced & re-sold; do not share; do not create and sell this item. You can, however, modify it for your own use. If you have questions, please ask. Thank you.
- REQUIRED ADDITIONAL PARTS TO MAKE THE CAMERA MOUNT (these are the exact items I used for my setup. You will end up with more than you need - but these parts are useful for 3d printing AND lasering if you are into both!!): 2020 v slot rails; https://amzn.to/3vJwUeW Drop In T nuts: https://amzn.to/3tSrwUj Outside Joining Plates: https://amzn.to/3IPoyWP Printable Stackable Laser Master Feet: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4979137 (NOTE_ you can find some of the above parts available on Thingiverse that you can 3d print out & save some $$ - but it won't be as solid).
